Mary Ann E. Keenan, MD - Orthopaedic Issues for Polio Survivors - As chief of the Neuro-Orthopaedics Service at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Dr. Keenan performs reconstructive musculoskeletal surgery for persons with neurologic disorders such as stroke, brain injury, and polio. She has been a pioneer in her field. Dr. Keenan holds an appointment as professor of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She is renowned for her expertise in shoulder care, a subject of concern to many polio survivors.
